• When exporting images, BeyondPress Eval will add the word “Demo” to the images.
• BeyondPress Eval will randomly replace parts of the text with “[DEMO]”.
System Requirements
• Macintosh compatible, 68020 or greater. Accelerated for Power Macintosh.
• Mac OS version 7 or greater.

Installation Instructions
Insert the BeyondPress CD into your CD-ROM drive. Drag the following items into your QuarkXPress "XTension" folder:
• BeyondPress™ 3.0.1 Eval
• The BeyondPress Extras folder
• The BeyondPress Tutorial folder. This folder contains instructions that you can print from QuarkXPress and sample documents.
Installation Notes
• To use Apple Events scripts from within the BeyondPress environment, drag the Scripts folder into your QuarkXPress folder. Apple Events scripts in the Scripts folder become available in the Scripts menu that BeyondPress adds to QuarkXPress.
• If you are using an older System than System 7.5, you will need to install Macintosh Drag and Drop if you have not already done so. Drag Macintosh Drag and Drop from the "System Folder Items" folder to your System folder to install.
• If you are using QuarkXPress 3.3, you will need to update to version 3.31. Use the correct updater in the "QuarkXPress™ 3.3->3.31 Updaters" folder. Additional updaters are located on the Quark website, http://www.quark.com.
About the Sample Scripts
BeyondPress includes a sample script, Auto Link URLs and a sample applet, Convert Everything. These samples are useful themselves, and also provide examples of scripting in BeyondPress.
Auto Link URLs
When you put the Scripts folder in your QuarkXPress folder, Auto Link URLs shows up in the QuarkXPress Scripts menu. Choose Auto Link URLs to create links for all web addresses, ftp addresses, and email addresses in the text of your document.
Convert Everything
Convert Everything is located in the BeyondPress Extras folder that you just installed. Convert Everything will convert any file that can be imported into QuarkXPress: picture files, text files, word processor files and QuarkXPress documents. Drop any collection of these files onto Convert Everything to convert them. Convert Everything will use your default BeyondPress Preferences settings when converting files.
Technical Notes
• BeyondPress does not generate TrueDoc Font files (PFRs) for Helvetica and Times fonts, because they are the standard browser fonts.
• Live Display of Java applets will not work 68K Macintoshes. Astrobyte is working with Apple to resolve this problem. However, Java applets may still be dragged into a document, positioned, configured, and exported to Web pages on 68K Macintoshes.
• Netscape Communicator 4.01 68K does not include Dynamic Fonts (TrueDoc) support. This will be fixed in Communicator release 4.02. Updates to Communicator will be available on the Netscape Web site, http://www.netscape.com.
